This 1.5-hour training is for service providers working with refugee and other ORR-eligible children and youth, including resettlement agencies, child welfare, schools, health/mental health providers, anti-trafficking organizations, and others.
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
• Describe the roles of child welfare, schools, and resettlement agencies in supporting refugee & newcomer families, and how collaboration across these systems supports positive outcomes for newcomer children and youth.
• Assess gaps and identify opportunities to build and strengthen partnerships that support child safety and wellbeing in your community.
• Apply practical strategies for effective collaboration across refugee-serving providers to enhance support for newcomer children and youth through scenario examples.
