Join us for an upcoming training workshop presented by USCRI’s Refugee Youth Resource Center, to explore practical strategies for supporting newcomer youth and families navigating today’s immigration landscape.

This 1.5-hour training is intended for service providers working with refugee and other ORR-eligible children and youth, including resettlement agencies, child welfare, schools, health/mental health providers, anti-trafficking organizations, and others.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe current immigration-related stressors and their impacts on newcomer youth, families, and communities.
  2. Support newcomer youth and families experiencing immigration-related stressors through culturally responsive, strength-based approaches, family preparedness planning, connection to community resources, and know-your-rights education.
  3. Identify the emotional impacts of the current immigration landscape on staff and implement strategies to support staff well-being.

We hope you can join us! Please share this webinar information widely with your networks.
