USCRI’s Refugee Youth Resource Center is excited to announce an upcoming training workshop on “Addressing Mental Health of Refugee Youth: Practical Strategies for Trauma-Informed, Culturally Responsive Support”  This training is intended for service providers working with refugee children and youth, including resettlement agencies, child welfare, schools, health and mental health providers, anti-trafficking organizations, and others. 

Topics addressed:
Understanding of trauma as it relates to displacement
Transitional shock and the mental health impacts on refugee youth
Different cultural perspectives on mental health and approaches to address trauma across cultures
Strategies for effective psychosocial support of refugee youth
