About the Refugee Youth Resource Center
The Refugee Youth Resource Center (RYRC) is a national training and technical assistance initiative led by the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI). Our mission is to strengthen the capacity of refugee-serving agencies so they can better support the safety, resilience, well-being, and integration of refugee children, youth, and their families. We do this through education, resources, partnerships, and case consultation support.
We work with a wide range of partners, including resettlement agencies, child welfare, schools, health and mental health providers, anti-trafficking organizations, and other service providers who support refugee and other ORR-eligible youth.
Our services and offerings include:
- Monthly webinars for refugee-serving agency staff to support the provision of trauma-informed and child welfare-centric services with refugee youth and families
- Tailored trainings and individualized technical assistance for agencies upon request
- A dedicated case consultation helpline to support providers navigating complex cases and crisis situations involving refugee children and youth
- Community engagement and partnership-building
- Digital resources for providers and families
The RYRC website is USCRI’s online hub for providers to access resources and training, and will also include multilingual resources for refugee youth and families (coming soon!) to support their adjustment and integration in the U.S.

Who Are We?
In 2024, USCRI received a federal grant from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), a division of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), to establish the National Refugee Children and Youth Resilience Program. USCRI operates the Refugee Youth Resource Center as part of this initiative.
USCRI is one of the nation’s voluntary resettlement agencies providing direct support to newly arrived refugees. Since 1977, we have helped resettle more than 350,000 refugees from around the world in communities across the United States. Through our comprehensive Children’s Services programs, USCRI has become a leader in the field, offering high-quality services for newcomer children while equipping providers nationwide with training, education, and best practices in child welfare.
